Good review, but I disagree with the whole "lack of sophistication" comment.

As someone who isn't familiar with the more "high-powered" blogging tools that were referenced in the review, I almost take the "lack of sophistication" as a compliment to Multiply, since to me, it means that Multiply is easier to use for everyone, which aids to the accessibility for everyone and makes it a better networking site.

I wonder if they've used the new photo uploading too. I agree that the old one was cumbersome, but with the new one, you can upload a bunch of stuff at once, quite easily, even if you're not dragging and dropping.

Exactly!

Do I get points for getting the correct answer (i.e. I've been successfully brainwashed)?

The only thing I don't like about the new Photo Uploading is that I can put in a new name for the photo, but I can't put in a description. So once I load up all of the pictures, I then have to go back and edit each picture to add any additional information. But I've just chalked that up to a trade-off. Upload photos quicker with less information, or use the old way and take my time.

A little birdie told me that the Multiply guys are hard at work on a new "compose" screen that makes new entries both easier to use/understand, and also adds more of the "high-power" features that some blogging sites have.

Hey there! Since there might be a little birdie around, any word on if you'll start offering "photo books", like the hard or soft cover photo albums like you can get at Shutterfly and Ofoto? As well as calendars and the like. A lot of my friends use those a lot so it's hard to get them to switch over since they would need to keep uploading to the other sites too.

But, of course, as you know, loving the Multiply!

I heard that might be in the works too, although not for a little while ;-)

Awesome!!!

I don't necessarily agree with writers statement--"Multiply isn't necessarily a way to interact with people you don't know. After all, there's no reason to share your vacation photos with strangers."

I have met a lot of creative people on this site from the Philippines, Brazil, and Indonesia--ONLINE people and I met a lot of cool people from the U.S.

I consider my decision to join MULTIPLY one of the best I made last year and I mean it!

It's also a great way to organize group schedules also.

MULTIPLY is a very valuable and versatile tool for human interaction.

I completely agree. Beyond the "quite rudimentary" tool comment, I think it was a great review and am very happy for our Multiply creators. I bet those other sites don't have their people working as closely with their users, truly listening to input and using it to make continuous improvements- as we do here. Multiply is an awesome, "all in one" networking tool, and I am honored to have been involved since the beginning via Marc. I knew once I landed here in rural LA that it would be a link back to the "real world"...lol...It's definitely served to keep me connected, and more importantly, my brain challenged and my sense of humor fed. As for us people from the Land Down Under its helped not only to keep so closely in touch with our loved ones but also to be a part of their friends and family and more frequently keep in contact with them all.
And photos are cheaper and better quality from Multiply{all the way from Texas} than from Target here.
We thank Multiply for bringing us all closer

Well said, Jim. I totally agree. As Dimitri's other grandmother I am a lot closer, yet I'm not close enough to see him very frequently. Pictures keep us updated and foster a better understanding of how the little one is developing. I cherish that aspect enormously along with all the other wonderful features.
