Photo AlbumShot Glasses #372 to #400May 9, '04 3:00 PM
for everyone
For those of you that don't know, I've been collecting shot glasses for the past 15 years or so and my collection is approaching 400. As you'll see from some of the comments with each glass, they are an interesting representation of places I, or my friends and family, have been.

Unfortunately most of my collection is packed up in cartons pending my permanent or even semi-permanent settling down. It is such a huge effort to unwrap and wrap that it isn't worth doing at this point. At some point I'll photograph my whole collection, but for now only my recent additions and new additions as they come in.

If you've donated any of the glasses pictures please add a comment letting me (and everybody) know the circumstances in which you got the glass. And of course, thanks for the dontation.

FYI, Temecula is by no means small. It's a big town in the mountains that's full of amazing wineries and needless to say, I had a great time visiting! Each place has their own bar for wine-tasting, which is open all day. Since it was a quiet weekday afternoon, I was the only one at the bar (my family wasn't up for drinking) and the server happened to be from NY. After a few drinks and some bonding, he decided to let me try all the drinks on the tasting menu...including the port and sherry;-)

I highly recommend Temecula for those vacationing in sourthern California.

(Added December '03 by self)

Prior to moving from San Diego to Florida Alecia and I decided to take a quick flight to see San Francisco for the weekend. One day we took a great bus tour and I picked up this glass at the Japanese Tea Garden. The back of the glass states "Japanese Tea Garden" but I thought the front was a more interesting picture. Anyone know what the symbol represents?
Shogun?

you know I love it and will continue to contribute. I wonder how many hockey team shot glasses you now have (courtesy of my quest to get them ALL!)

I already have an Athens Olympics one coming for you (from a USAT guy going over there...)

Got this for you a few weeks ago. Would have loved to have you with me! Next time...

I'll have to do some research on Vegas. I was wondering if the centennial means the start of the city or the start of casinos there, or both!

Steph and I were taking a cruise in the Med at the beginning of May and we stopped off in Pisa. Now, it had rained on us the whole time, but not like the day in Pisa. We spent nearly $50 to get an umbrella that the gypsies were selling on the roadside because the rain was so bad. But I kept telling Steph, we have to go to the Tower and get a shot glass....Mike would kill me if I didn't :) Actually, it did rain, but seeing the Tower and the 2 churches right next to it were awesome. What's more amazing is that "none" of the buildings in Pisa are straight! Everything's built on top of a shallow water table so everything leans, some more than others.

You said Rome twice. So does that mean you really only have 16 glasses?

Thanks for the dedication Don!
